Bear Lake

We went to Bear Lake last weekend for fun with my brother and his family, Kathleen and Dustin, and Nana and Grandma Harris. It was so much fun! The weather was perfect and we had a great time!So Dallin isn't too much of a fan of the water. He really didn't like it at first as you can tell by the look on his face. But once we sat him down on the sand, he changed immediately. He was upset one second, and then the next, as happy as can be sitting in the dirty sand. (typical boy) :)Kathleen and Dustin in the raft, Mason in the middle, and me floating out on the lake. It's really neat, because its really shallow and only really gradually gets deeper. You have to be out there pretty far to not drag on the bottom while you're floating. Dallin really likes to wear sunglasses now. Anytime I wear them he wants to put them on.
Kathleen and Dustin brought their skim board thing. It's really neat, almost like a quick little surf in the shallow water. Dustin was the only one that could really do it well though.
Grandma Harris sitting behind our junkfood table ;)
Kathleen pulling Mason and Brinlee in the raft.

I love this picture.
It was really neat, because we all hung out on this little sandbar that was just off the shore. It reminded me of the ocean! Except maybe not as many waves. Here's a video of Dallin playing in the sand.

Walking!

Dallin is finally walking all by himself! He started walking a few months ago, but he needed the help of furniture or us. He was kind of a chicken for a long time, and didn't want to let go. We could coax him and he would take a few steps on his own, but yesterday at Grandma Harris's house I was leaving and he just walked over by himself! I know he's definitely going to keep us on our toes! (more so than he already does!)

Drivin the Lawnmower

Here's just a fun video of Dallin driving (well not really driving) but pretending to drive the lawnmower. It's cute. He rode on the lawnmower a few times with Kyle, but this time it's ALL Dallin!

Camping! (sort of...)

So my mom and Steve (Nana and Pa pa) went camping with my nephew, Zach. They invited us to come up. Since it was so close, (just up kinda by Kelly's over by the river), we decided to just come for the evening. It was so fun, we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and had smores. YUM. It was so pretty and green up there! The only thing that was definitely NOT COOL was the mosquitos. They were everywhere, but luckily Nana brought bug spray, and once we got the fire going, they left us alone. It was even neat when it rained a bit! We were glad they had the motorhome :) If you notice, Dallin is in his camouflage little shirt and green pants- it's cute, especially since Kyle picked it out. He's definitely ready for camping!

Kyle made these cool chairs out of boards and he even made one for Dallin. It was so cute to see them sitting there together in them.

Some random stuff

So here are just a few random pictures of how Dallin keeps me entertained. Even while he's sleeping!

So this first picture is of Dallin sleeping. I'd have to say the picture doesn't do justice of how funny it was to walk in there in the night and see him like this. It's always a fun surprise to see what position he ends up in while he's sleeping. So I've been cleaning the house a lot these past few weeks, not just cleaning, but going through a bunch of junk that I had kept in boxes. Well, I couldn't resist, so here's Dallin as the statue of liberty. (Why the heck did I keep that thing? I don't even know where I got it!) Don't worry, its in the garbage now.
Dallin does half-way headstands quite a bit. Here he is looking at his shoes.

The Playground

A few days ago we went to a playground, and Dallin had his first opportunity to try out the swings and the slide. You'll notice there are no pictures of his swing experience on here, because he HATED it! I don't think he really liked the slide very much either, but he liked exploring, watching other kids, and playing in the dirt!

(Can you see his two little top teeth?)

Being shy okay, nevermind!
After the slide, he kind of layed there at the bottom for a minute. I don't know what he was doing, but I think he was trying to decide if he liked it or not. kiss?

One of the biggest smiles we got out of him was of course when a cute little girl came by and climbed right in front of him. He's startin early!

Thanks again Kris, for taking the pics! You're awesome!

A Trip to the Lake

Dallin had his first trip to the lake! My dad took us out in his little jet boat and it was a lot of fun! Although, I don't know if Dallin thought it was as much fun as I did.Dallin and I with my little brothers, Corbet and Blake. Ridin the tube!My dad's a pretty scary driver sometimes- (as you can tell by the look on my face)Who's in the tube now?Can you tell yet? (hint* look for the little orange looking thing)Oh! It's Dallin in the tube with Mommy! My dad drove so slow and careful that it actually put Dallin to sleep! My bro'sYeah, I can't take a trip to the lake without wakeboarding! Although I was a bit scared since I hadn't done it since before I was pregnant with Dallin. But its just like riding a bike- I got right up, and I didn't even crash! This was Dallin by the end of our little outing. Definitely tired and ready to get the life jacket off!

Here's some pics of Dallin getting Grandpa Dave's birthday present. A little laughing cookie monster. Its pretty cute and Dallin loves it!

Oh, and I wanted to be sure to thank Kris- I forgot my camera, OF COURSE, but she brought hers, so she's the one that took all the pictures. Thanks Kris!
