Happy Birthday Dallin!

On Saturday, July 25th, Dallin turned 2! I can't believe our little boy is growing up so fast! We had a lot of fun that day. The Wright family reunion was this weekend also, so we got to do a lot of different fun things for Dallin's birthday.

Dallin and me on the tractor- and yes, I really was driving it. It was fun, they set up an obstacle course to drive the tractor through. We just went for a joy ride though :)They also had a little train set up for the kids. It was a lawnmower pulling three barrels made into train cars. They had the neatest water slide they set up. There was a large hill, and they put down a big slippery tarp and had a pipe full of canal water pumping from the top. Dallin was a bit hesitant at first, because it really was a big slide, but some of his cousins helped take him down and he had so much fun. It was so cute to see the huge smile on his face and see him screaming in laughter as he slid down. He looked like he was trying to be such a big kid. It looked like so much fun, I wish that I had brought my own swimming suit so I could have joined them. They went down so fast it was hard to get a good picture. After so much fun, Dallin was exhausted and took a really long nap. We finally had to wake up him at about 5:30 so he could open some presents!
It was hard to get Dallin to look at the camera, I couldn't get him to turn toward me long enough to snap a picture- he was too excited about all of his new presents.
Here's a good smile :)
Here he is with his birthday cake. He did so good at blowing out the candles- on the first try!

ABC's

I was finally able to get Dallin on video saying the entire alphabet by himself. He gets really excited when he shows us. He can count to ten also, but we haven't been able to get that one on video yet. (sorry the video is bad quality, I had to convert it so it would fit on here)

Busy Summer!

We've been taking quite a few pictures lately because we've been doing some fun stuff this Summer. I try to not to post a ton of pictures at once, but I'm getting behind, so I'm going to post a few things that we've been doing this Summer so far. I'll start with the most recent.

This week I set out our little pool for Dallin to play in. He had a lot of fun. He does have a swimming suit, but it ended up being too small for him when I put it on this time, so I just let him go out in a diaper and shirt. (We did buy him a new swimming suit today so I'll try to get more pics of him in his new Cars swimming shorts)He really loved playing with the hoseLast weekend we visited Nana and Papa's house and some of Dallin's little cousins were there. It was fun to see everyone! The new swing at Nana and Papa's house. I promise he was happy, but its just really hard to get an almost two-year-old to smile and look at the camera at the same time :)
On the 4th, we went and watched the Idaho Falls fireworks. Dallin was sure wound up that night!Look out! He's coming to get you!The fireworks started...And Dallin actually liked them quite a bit! He didn't know quite what to think at first, because we were pretty close and they were loud, but after a few minutes he really enjoyed himself. The night before, we went camping with my family. It was a lot of fun. Too bad we didn't get much sleep, but everything beside that was really fun!A couple of weeks ago, we went on a drive and ended up in Island Park. It was really beautiful and green because of all the rain.
So pretty! The water is so clear you can see the fish! Too bad you can't go fishing here!I just thought this was kind of a cool picture of a seagull that I took. Nothing special about it :)

It's a...

Girl! At least that's what the Ultrasound says. Now how they can tell, I still don't see very well- but I guess I will trust the professional. Here's a 3d picture. She was kinda shy, so she put her arm up over her face so you can't see it.

Sorry they didn't get very many good head shots, but I'm planning on going to visit Candice for some more! The next big task is figuring out a name!
