Some news!

I haven't updated for awhile, but we've had quite a bit going on around here. First of all, the biggest reason for me not updating the blog is that I've been feeling pretty tired and nauseous lately because we are expecting! Our baby is due August 26th. We're all really excited and I will be even more excited after I get through this first trimester and the sickness that comes with it!

Here's our first ultrasound we had on January 19th. Cute little gummy bear :)
In other big headlines around here: Its been pretty quiet lately with injuries and bumps and bruises with Dallin. We should have one of those calendars that we keep track of how long we've been accident free. Well, we would have to start that calendar over, because on January 28th, Dallin decided he needed to add a little more excitement and use our Aflac accident insurance. Kyle and I had gone out to dinner with another couple for my birthday. We decided to go ahead and leave our kids at the other couple's house with their babysitter because they have kids about the same age as ours that they could play with. We were just paying for our dinner when we received a phone call from the babysitter telling us that Dallin had been jumping off the furniture and cut his head pretty badly on the coffee table. We went back and saw that the bleeding had stopped, but it had left a pretty big gash in the back of his head, so we decided to take him to the redicare and they ended up giving him 3 staples.
Here's a picture of his cool head-band keeping his bandage on.
From the back side..Sorry if you're squeamish, these next few pictures show the cut with the staples
I did end up turning 30 in January... Too bad my nausea didn't really allow me to enjoy my awesome cake that Kyle made :(
I'm a little bummed that we haven't had hardly any snow this winter. Its been nice to not have to drive in it, but I feel bad that the kids aren't even able to play in the snow or make snowmen. We did have one storm where we got a little bit of snow, and the kids were all over it. They suited up in their snow gear and went outside to play in the snow for a little bit. Hopefully February will bring a few more snow storms for the kids.

With Winter comes the static. Its almost impossible to keep Hailee's hair looking smooth and fixed. Every time she sits on the couch she ends up looking like this :)Just some random pictures of the kids and me.
These pictures are back from November when we were eating out that I found on my I-PodThis last set of pictures are some I took of Hailee today after church. She looked so cute in her little church clothes, I decided to take some pictures.

This one is my favorite
Here's a video of the kids dancing to our Just Dance 2 wii game. They were having so much fun. I loved Hailee's little diaper bum with her wearing her princess shoes and stomping her feet. Funny!

Finishing out the Year

Well, to finish out 2011, we've been having fun, just wishing for snow. The kids have been playing nonstop with all of their new Christmas toys. I also got a new camera which I'm excited about. There was nothing wrong with my old camera, (I loved it actually), but the video wasn't the greatest quality. I decided to get the same type of camera but with HD video, and I have loved it so far!
So a lot of these pictures will be pretty random- these first few are of Hailee in her new hat. She Loves to wear hats. She pretty much wore this hat all last weekend long. My little snow bunny :) if it would ever snow anyway!!
Little Dallin hanging out on the couch. We had a great relaxing Christmas vacation, and I have to admit that there were some days where we stayed in our jammies most of the day :)
Dallin and Hailee playing on the floor with their new Christmas toys. This spot is pretty much the designated playspot for cars
Bath night
So, this picture looks kind of gross- but Dallin has a new talent. Its really funny, because my brother used to always do this growing up. It was kind of his "thing" ha ha. Even funnier, is that no one has ever shown Dallin this, I just went into his room one night after I put him to bed, and looked at him and he had flipped his eyelids inside-out. Icky! It must run in the genes or something. Such a boy :)
Last week some of Kyle's old mission buddies came over to visit with their families.
Missing from the picture are 5 more little kids tearing up the place. ha haGrandpa and Grandma Wright decided to go down South for the Winter, so we're going to miss them for a couple of months!
Dallin got a superhero costume for Christmas and Hailee was having a great time trying it out the other day. So cute!
Here's a video of Hailee pretending to be "Spiderwoman"
Here's Hailee playing telephone with her feet. Too funny! :)

Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year especially with the kids being old enough to understand what was going on. Dallin was SO excited for Santa Clause this year- I think the countdown started back in June!
I love Hailee's little cheesy face. Whenever I get the camera out, she says "cheese" and scrunches up her little face.
I didn't take a ton of pictures because I was taking a lot of videos Christmas morning, so I'll throw in one of the videos I took of Hailee and Dallin playing with one of their Christmas toys. It was so hilarious. FYI- We had just got done eating lunch and both Hailee and Dallin had made messes on their clothes- that's why they are lacking a few articles of clothing. haha
