She's finally here!

Here is our new precious baby girl, Laila Dawn. She was born by c-section on April 1st, at 7:56am. She was 9lbs 1oz and was 21 inches long. Big girl! Her name has some special significance too. When I married Kyle, I found out his late Grandmother's name was Lalia (but pronounced Laila) I always thought it was a really pretty name and thought maybe if I had a little girl I might use that as her name. I didn't with Hailee, but this time around, I knew it was the right choice. Her middle name Dawn, also comes after Kyle's late Grandfather's name, Donald or Don Wright. Kyle's Dad's name is also Donald Gene Wright (he goes by Gene). I just thought it was perfect! I can't get enough of her!

Here is the first picture I took of her in the hospital. Chubby little face!
Proud Daddy!

Here are some pictures of the family meeting her.

Owen was mad in this picture because he wanted to hold her by himself.
So Owen got his chance to hold her and it was pretty funny because he was ready to be done after about 5 seconds :)

Time to go home! She didn't look so big anymore sitting in the carseat
We got home and Hailee's baby dolly was laying in the crib. They're almost the same size! This newborn baby doll used to be mine when I was a kid. I gave it to Hailee a couple of weeks ago to help prepare her for the new baby. She has been taking care of the baby and loving it as if she were real. Now that her new little Sister is at home she has been such a great helper.
Here is Hailee's impression of baby Laila with her big saggy cheeks and closed eyes. haha!

Rest of March

So I know its April, and I have a wonderful blog post I want to do about our new little baby born April 1st, but I need to do March's post first so I don't get overwhelmed with all the pics in one post! So here's March, and hopefully in the next few days I will be able to post about our new baby girl :)

The kids had a dentist appointment and I decided to ask why our little Owen's teeth were so crooked. Usually little kids don't have crooked teeth. Come to find out, our little guy has an extra tooth! Kind of crazy I think! They said it should just fall out like a normal baby tooth but it might need a little help because there won't be a permanent tooth under it. So eventually when he gets older, his teeth should hopefully straighten out as he starts losing his baby teeth. Special boy!
Here's a nice little pic of a hair-do that Hailee did for me. I love it when my kids play with my hair. She has some fun masterpieces she has done!
The kids built a blanket fort that I let them sleep in. They had fun but I know they didn't sleep too well because they were sure cranky the next day! haha
Here's a pic of them in their blanket fort. I didn't get a good picture of the whole fort, but this is just the inside.
Here are just a few pics of Hailee and Owen with Anna and Elsa from Frozen when they were at Pizza Pie CafĂ©. (sorry a little blurry)
Cute little brothers playing Legos together. I love moments like these!
I love how Owen wants to fold his arms for the picture like his big brother
Cute little Owen at church with his hands in his pockets. What a handsome little guy!
Here's Dallin's school picture that I did not buy but I did take a picture of (It was originally kind of blurry anyway)
Funny story for this: I had Dallin wear a nice red shirt (which you can see underneath his blue shirt) and told him he could bring his blue Fairview Elementary T-shirt to wear in his backpack to put on in his classroom because they have spirit day every Friday where they count how many students are wearing blue in each class. Well of course as soon as he gets to school he takes his blue t-shirt out of his backpack and wears it the entire day over top of his nice red shirt for picture day. So even in his class pictures he has this funny red and blue shirt combo. Oh well! haha
