Reading

Lately Dallin has really been in to books. Books are his favorite thing (next to blanky) Sometimes he talks to himself (in his own language) while he's looking at the books and turning the pages, and it sounds like he's reading. It's way cute. Here he is in Great-Great-Grandma's chair reading some of his favorite books.

So here are the 1-year-old pics that I told you that I would post. The day we got these pics he was being kinda shy, so the photographer just had to take what she could with what she had. But they turned out cute anyway. He sure loves his blanky!

Yogurt

The other day I was eating some yogurt and I tried to hide it from Dallin because he throws up when he eats it, but he ALWAYS wants to eat what I am eating. So thinking I was sneaky, I took it into the office to eat it. I got up for a second (I can't remember why) but I left my Yogurt on the file cabinet. Well, when I came back in, I saw Dallin on the floor shoveling my Yogurt into his mouth with the spoon! I had tried to get him to use a spoon a couple of times before, but he didn't want anything to do with it. But this time, he decided to use the spoon all on his own. It was funny, because he didn't even make a big mess at all!

The Fair

We went to the fair last week, mostly to eat the fair food and let Dallin look at the animals. It was actually pretty fun, and Dallin enjoyed it more than I thought he would!

But pretty happy touching the animals. I say touching, because he didn't really pet, he poked. It was funny, because most of the time he would just get his finger in the animals' nostrils when they would come sniff him. Dallin poking a goat. He got to touch a rabbit, goat, lamb, cow, horse, and pig! (mostly the nostrils) - Thank heavens for soap and water!
