The first thing we decided to do was ride the world-famous tram to the top of the mountain. It was amazing!
Here we are just after starting. The tram goes so fast, its incredible.
About halfway. Can you see the other tram down there?
Getting closer to the top...
Famous Corbet's Couloir. You can't tell from the picture, but those cliffs are HUGE. People Love to ski through there (Experts only of course) Unfortunately they had it closed off this day because the snow was so unstable, otherwise I would have been tearin it up through there. (ha ha yeah right! :)
At the top- It was a bit cloudy, but can you see the Tetons over there through the clouds?
Me at the top
The town of Jackson Way down and over there
Its amazing, if you are really good, you can hike over there and ski off the cliffs. Fun?
Riding in the Gondola

At the summit of the Gondola, there is a really nice restaurant. (this was the restaurant that was hit by an avalanche a few years ago) We were going to see if we could get lunch there. We knew it would probably be expensive. We went inside, and Kathleen said, oh $4.75, that's not bad, then we read it was for a muffin. Ha ha! The cheapest hamburgers and stuff in there were more than $10! So we opted to eat at the bottom of the hill where everything was a couple of dollars cheaper.
The tram from the summit where the restaurant sits. can you see the little tram? Its a tiny speck above that line of trees close to the top in the white part. (Corbet's Couloir) It almost looks like its part of the rock
After lunch, Kathleen and I decided to ride the main tram up to the top again just to check things out and explore. We decided not to take our skiis up again this time because the snow was pretty icy up there and it was so windy it would knock you down.

Its awesome!

This picture is for my little brother, Corbet.
Don't you love Kathleen's helmet with the little ball on top?
The platform at the top of the tram where we get on and off.
On the way back down I guess we were the only wusses on the mountain because we had the tram all to ourselves! :)
Some cliffs and skiiers looking down. We were so high up! It was pretty scary sometimes because it was so windy we were swaying quite a bit!
The other tram going up as we were going down. The tram is definitely not for those who are scared of heights! I tried not tho think about the tram falling off the cable.
We had a blast on the mountain until it started raining. At least it decided to wait to start raining until only an hour before close, so we were able to get some great skiing in. I couldn't believe how huge the mountain was. I definitely understand why people come from all over the world to ski at Jackson Hole!
