We had a great Mother's Day on Sunday. Here are some pictures of Dallin and Hailee with Grandma Harris and Nana
Last week we had an unwelcome visitor at our house.... a bird who decided to make her nest right on my front door. It was funny. I had heard some scratching noises on our door, but didn't even really think about it, until a little while later, I opened my door to go outside, and there was a big pile of weeds and stuff on top of my wreath. Kyle was right there, and I said. "Whoa! Did you know that was there?" Kyle said that he had seen it, but he thought it was something I was doing to decorate. Ha ha!
It was actually the nicest biggest nest I have come across. I felt really bad when I took it down, because the bird had put a lot of work into that thing!
It was such a perfect round little nest
The bird constructing it
The bird was pretty mad at us when we were messing with it, especially when we took it down. But I definitely did NOT want baby birds at my front door so I decided to take it down before she got all settled in. It was pretty sad, because after I took my wreath down, she kept coming back with twigs and weeds trying to build some more, but it wasn't there, and she would just sit there, on our front porch, and it looked like she was glaring at us through the front window. ha ha
I'd say it was a pretty good educational experience for Dallin. I don't know if I'll be able to put my wreath back for awhile, because even after several days, when I tried putting it back, only a little while later I saw another little pile of weeds on my wreath.
Some more random pictures of my cute kiddos!
My sweet little guy Dallin
You can't really tell from the picture, but Hailee's little hairs are standing up on top of her head. Dallin thought it was hilarious because he had put her blanket on her head and then took it off and it made her hair all full of static.

That is an impressive nest!
Hailee is so adorable. I wish we lived closer so she and Reese could play more!
Oh my, that is hilarious. I can't believe the bird keeps trying to make it right there. I especially enjoyed Kyle's decorating comment. :)
