Our first little adventure was of Dallin breaking his arm. He has been in Super-Hero mode lately and like always, tries to be a bit crazy climbing stuff or jumping off stuff just like Spiderman or Batman. Its funny, because he's really not that much more crazy than other little kids, its just that Dallin always ends up getting hurt. Maybe he's just a bit clumsy? haha :)
Anyway, he was climbing and jumping off of things in the house, so I had told him before that he could jump off of stuff outside. Well, he decided to go ahead and do that. He climbed on top of the handlebar of the large swing outside and jumped off. I was just inside the house when it happened, so I didn't see exactly how he fell, but all I knew was that when I heard his screams of pain, something was wrong. Now Dallin can be a bit dramatic at times and really scream when he gets a little bit hurt, but this one was different. I ran to the door and he ran to me clutching his arm. I was afraid to look at it, in case there was a bone or something sticking out. Luckily, it didn't look too bad, but I knew that it had hurt him. We decided to wait a day or two to see if it was just a sprain, but then we decided to take him in to the doctor two days later, and sure enough, it was broken! Just a little buckle break, so thankfully it wasn't too serious. We opted just to get a splint for it instead of a full on cast, that way we can take it off when he baths, and also, it was cheaper :)
I think Dallin likes the attention he gets with his arm, because everyone is always asking him what he did to his arm. Its funny how all the kids in the neighborhood want to hear the story of how he broke his arm. At church today it was funny, because one Mom recounted how her daughter had told her the story of how Dallin broke his arm being Spiderman and he had fallen when his hand that was shooting the web was still out!
Hailee misses out on all the attention :) Here she is showing us her arm
The two little rascals together. I sure do Love these kids!
One of the bad things about his broken arm, is that it has put a damper on his T-ball that he has been doing this Summer. He did end up going this week since his arm has been getting a lot better and this is the last week with the splint on. We just made sure that he didn't try to do anything crazy.
Waiting to bat
Up to bat
In the outfield. Its funny to watch them, because it really is mostly just pure chaos. Its funny to watch.
Can't forget little Hailee!
Last weekend was the Wright family reunion/campout. We didn't camp out this year, (being almost 9 months pregnant I wasn't really up to it)- plus the next morning is when they do the really huge water slide, and Dallin with his broken arm was not going to be able to participate. So Kyle decided to sleep outside on the trampoline with Dallin instead. This was Dallin's first time, and he really loved it!
Here are just a couple of pictures of the train they do every year for the kids. I tried to get Hailee to go on there, but she just wasn't interested. Probably a bit too scary for her. Maybe next year!
There's Dallin in the front (red) sitting with his cousin Lilly.
I'm just throwing in this random picture Kyle took to send to his brother because the kids just look so cute!
I've said this many times before, but Hailee loves to dress up in random shoes and hats. Here she is pushing her baby in the car with her slippers and Winter hat on. (It was only about 95 degrees outside! :)
Such a cutie!
Here's a video of Hailee riding the trike. Her little legs are finally long enough to pedal! I can't believe she's growing up so fast!
