It seems when you have a newborn life speeds up even more. I can't believe my baby boy is already over a month old! I have a picture overload again as usual, but I have taken so many pictures of the little guy because he's changing so much every day! To start off though, I'll post the pictures of my other two little angels who I have most definitely NOT forgotten!
Here's Dallin waiting for the school bus. The first week of Kindergarten they didn't have the bus take the Kindergartners because they were trying to figure out bus routes. So starting the next week, they had the Kindergartners ride the bus. I walked Dallin to the bus stop just down the road and waited with him for the bus. I had told myself I wasn't going to be one of those Mom's that cries like a baby when their first-born gets on the bus for the first time. I was doing good, until the bus actually drove up and the kids started to get on. Tears immediately filled my eyes- I couldn't believe my baby was getting so big! (I could blame pregnancy hormones too, since I had given birth less than two weeks ago :)
Anyway, so this picture I took I remember I had tears in my eyes and I was trying my best to smile and not let Dallin see that Mommy was crying. He was such a big boy, but then when I saw him get on the bus through the windows, I realized how tiny he really is. It made me even more sad when I saw Dallin looking around for a seat (he was one of the last ones on the bus and the bus was pretty much packed full. He ended up having to sit all the way in the back with some shaggy haired 6th grade boys. I sure hoped they would be nice to this cute little naive Kindergartner with a Lightning Mcqueen backpack. It seriously broke my heart. I walked home wondering if it was ever going to get easier. Luckily it has- after walking him to the bus stop for the next few days, and finally seeing that the bus driver has the little kids ride in the front now.
Here's Dallin getting off the bus for the first time in front of our house. Definitely a LOT easier! For one- there are only little Kindergartners on the bus on the way home. Hailee and I like to make it our daily special routine to try to go outside to watch the bus drop Dallin off.
Little Hailee can't wait to go to school someday. She likes to wear her backpack and pretend she's going to school too!
Cute little backpack and piggy tails! She's getting so big!
Had to get a picture in her adorable kitty foot jammies :)
Okay here is the Owen overload of pictures!
I love this little newborn picture. Here he is Sept. 1 (a week and a half old). Its fun how you can just mold them into whatever position you want.
Here he is in his cute little church clothes going to church for the first time.
Just some more pics throughout the weeks:
At 4 weeks old he started smiling a little bit! Its so cute when we can get him to smile!
...definitely not a smile.. haha
1 month old: Okay I LOVE this picture- it makes me laugh every time I look at it!
Little smileMore random pics trying to catch his smile:
Here's kind of an open mouth smile
Okay- he's done taking pics. haha
Owen is such an unbelievably good baby. We just love him so much. Incredibly this week he has been sleeping through the night (about 8 hours) I can't believe it! I was kinda worried at first, because it just doesn't seem normal at just 1 month old. But he seems to be fine with it, and I definitely am too! We'll see how long this keeps up!
Here are just a few more random pics from the month. This first one is a lovely drawing we found that Hailee did on our closet door. She's always loved to color and her favorite thing right now is drawing suns. Our driveway is full of suns that she has drawn from chalk. Very cute. Not quite so cute to find it on the wall though.
A Praying Mantis we found just outside our front door. I love these things! Dallin did too. He didn't hesitate to touch it! That's my boy! :)
