This will probably be my last blog post before we get to meet the newest member of our family! I'm pretty excited we only have 3 and a half weeks left. I'm also a little nervous because I remember how much work these precious little ones are. I think we definitely have a lot of little helpers at our house though. They're all pretty excited to meet their new little sister!
Its so fun when Hailee talks about her new baby sister. When we went through her old baby clothes she was so excited with comments like, "Aw cute!" and how she is going to help me dress the baby and pick out matching bows or shoes. I went through an old tub with my old baby dolls that I have been saving and got out my special newborn baby doll for Hailee that I had been holding onto just for this occasion so she can practice with her baby. She loves this little baby doll so much and treats her just like she is real. The doll definitely looks real; its life-sized to a newborn and is anatomically correct and even has the newborn wrinkly skin. I got that baby doll for Christmas back in 1988 and I loved it so much. The brothers are even excited about their new baby sister and love to watch my tummy move and talk to her through my belly. Things are definitely going to change around here and we're excited! We even made a countdown chain that the kids take off a link each day.
Here are some pictures of my cuties from this past month.
This first picture is one we took at the museum. We went for Kyle's work family night. It was free and Dallin had been asking me if we could go, so we went. The exhibit ended up being a little mature for the kids I think, but we did have fun. Here are a couple of pictures of the kids dressed up like little criminals :)
Another pic of my cute little rascals sitting at the counter watching Dallin do some practice Math on the computer. I just thought this was so cute seeing them in a little row. Owen was trying to be big and copy what his older brother and sister were doing.
I got a new phone this month- for the first time ever I have the newest model (at least for a few months anyway) haha Its an iPhone 6. I really am enjoying it and am excited that it is going to take pretty nice photos. I also have a few apps where I can edit photos. Its really awesome to have this nice little handheld computer that you can take anywhere you go! Here is a little thing I put together of the three kids. Love them so much!
For the rest of this post I'll go ahead and update a little of each member of the family since I don't have a huge load of pictures this time.
Dallin is still doing really awesome at school and loves his teacher Mrs. Funke especially since she is his Daddy's first cousin. He is a perfect big brother to love and pester his younger siblings but I can see he is also getting a little more responsible as he gets older. He did basketball again this year and there was definitely an improvement. He really enjoyed himself.
Here he is with his little basketball team this year.
Hailee is loving preschool and still loving art and drawing. She is also a really great big sister to Owen and is always playing with him and helping him out.
She has also discovered she likes to take selfies :)

Hailee had been wanting her ears pierced for a while, and I also thought it would be fun for her too. I considered making her wait for a certain age, but I just see all these cute little girl earrings and think it would be so fun for her to pick out and match her earrings to her outfits because she's just that type of girl. I made a chart for her to finish her to earn it by eating all of her meals for 30 days. It took her two months, but she did it! We took her on a Saturday morning after Dallin's basketball game and we got her ears pierced. She was so brave and didn't even cry. She looks cute!
Hailee still likes to dress up and change her clothes several times a day. Here are a few pictures of some of her costumes:
A swimmer under water
Lucy from the Lego Movie
Matching her monkey in her new robe
All dressed up for Valentines Day (she picked her Valentine's outfit and I did her hair to match)
Cute heart hair for Valentine's
Hailee never ceases to amaze me with her artistic talents. She's able to look at something and draw it and it always looks so good! Lately she's been drawing her toys. Here's a comparison of her drawing to the toy. Impressive!
Owen still melts my heart and is just a cutie. He is usually so mellow and just rolls with the flow. He has gotten a little more vocal and has little tantrums, (typical two-year old stuff), but he usually calms down pretty fast. He LOVES his blanky so much and always puts his face into it and screams. He is so funny. I also have some pajama pants made out of the same material as his blanket that is like catnip to him. He just loves to touch it and rub his hands and face all over it. Its pretty funny. He loves to follow his brother and sister around and play whatever they are playing.
Here is kind of a blurry picture that Hailee took of him-
Kyle is still being a great Dad and working hard to provide for his family. He also is such an exceptional carpenter. He just made two more dressers for the kids so now each of our kids has their own dresser made by Dad. I think that is so cool.
Finally, there's me. I am getting more and more ready to have this baby as I get more and more slow and big each day. Just as all my other babies have done, this baby just sticks straight out in front. I definitely look very pregnant. I am getting better at not being bothered by people's comments about how huge my belly is or how miserable I must be. I'm trying to enjoy every moment of this miracle I have growing inside of me and I actually feel pretty good now. Yes, there are times when I don't feel the best physically, but I do feel so much better now that I am not so nauseous. I still get nauseous every once in awhile and after eating sugary stuff, but I do feel 99% better than I did for the first 6 or 7 months of my pregnancy in the nausea area. My back also hasn't been hurting this pregnancy like it did with Hailee and Owen. I did a lot of exercising to strengthen my back before I got pregnant and also for the first 6 months of my pregnancy and I can definitely tell a difference. I don't have bad sciatic nerve pain as long as I am careful about not bending over.
I decided I better go ahead and take a baby bump picture. This is actually from the first of February. As you can see, I'm already pretty huge in this picture. Now its a month later, and I definitely don't think I will be taking any more baby bump pictures haha
This picture is from 3 weeks ago with my friend Becki who was 6 weeks ahead of me in her pregnancy. We decided to go to lunch one last time before she had her baby. I'm sure we were a sight together. haha! She actually ended up having her baby two days later.
Last of all, I had a really good friend of mine do my nails for me last month. We did some fun Valentine's nails. She is really good at it. I'm not used to having painted fingernails, but this was really a lot of fun!
So there is our past month in a nutshell. Life is good, and I feel so blessed!
