Here I am playing "catch-up" once again! Laila turned 4 months old in August. At the end of July she started rolling around on the floor, and she has just been on the move ever since! She gets all around!
She is such a cute little thing and usually always so happy. We love her so much!
I think the easiest way to organize these pictures is just to go ahead and post them in order. Here is a picture of me and my two good friends out to eat. My friend Cindy, (on the left) came all the way back up here from Florida to visit. They moved away two years ago, and we miss them lots! We had a great time visiting.
August was full of a lot of fun afternoon thunderstorms. I am continually amazed by the awesome clouds and formations that roll in.
I had to get a picture of "The Pit". This is a place where a lot of people go sledding in the winter and then go driving around in the Summer. It has made these loops and every time we drive by, Owen says, "Look! Its a hand!" You know, like a hand that you trace on paper when you're a kid. He's so observant!
Speaking of Owen, you never know what you'll turn around to find after giving him something to eat in the van. haha
Grandpa and Laila's sleeping picture. (Even though you can tell Grandpa really isn't sleeping) We have a picture with each grand-baby sleeping on Grandpa's lap.
A fun trip we took to Rexburg Rapids!
Like I mentioned before, Laila is very mobile. You turn your back for just a minute and she's already rolled under the crib.
She's definitely enjoying herself!
Laila's first "selfie" she took of herself. haha
Dallin found a Praying Mantis outside. This is a great time of year to find them.
I just had to take a picture of this funny predicament you'll only find in Idaho. I was stuck behind this thing going 5 mph for way too long!
I LOVE this picture!
Having fun playing with "food"
Grandpa and Grandma Wright took the kids fishing. They had fun and caught a lot of tiny little fish!
Kids playing outside. I love Summer!
We took a day trip down to Bear Lake and had a lot of fun.
Here is a picture of the geyser at Soda Springs that happened to be shooting off as we drove through town.
It was a perfect day! We all had a great time!
This is kind of silly, but on our way home, we drove through Preston, and I always wanted to see Napoleon Dynamite's house so we found the address and drove by. The kids and I had just watched it a few days before, so it was fresh on our minds. I know its been more than 10 years since the movie came out, but I'm still a big fan!Poor Owen sleeping on the drive home haha
Speaking of sleeping, we have ourselves a cute little thumb sucker! I'm sure I won't like it as she gets older, but as for now, I just think its so adorable :)
She soothes herself by sucking her thumb, but also cuddling with soft things. She couldn't find her blanky, so she cuddled up with the jammies in her crib
Kids playing on the trampoline at the neighbor's house with the sprinkler underneath. Trying to enjoy these last days of Summer before school starts!Laila's first time in the grass. I thought she wouldn't like it, but she actually really enjoyed herself! She's such a curious little thing. She was raking her hands through the grass to get a feel for it and trying to grab it.
Our silly cat likes Laila too haha! I have to be sure to watch her carefully when setting her down when we get home because the cat will jump right into her car seat.
We can't go without showing one of Hailee's lovely outfit creations. She's a bride this time and notice her bouquet of flowers she picked for the occasion
Owen turned the Big 3 this month!!
Here he is opening presents:
With this fishy Birthday Cake
Fun pictures of him getting ready and blowing out his candles with his cousin Landon
Owen sure loves his little Sister! He was just laying there watching TV like this. Its hard to keep him away from her :)
We went boating a few more times this month too! Its always a lot of fun!
Oh yeah... and I chopped my hair off this month too
Dallin and his friend Braxton
Hailee and Owen riding the train at a fun Birthday party
One of my favorite things to do is go outside and jump on the trampoline with the kids watching the sky as a storm rolls in.
Big blue eyes
Owen face-planted on the asphalt as we came out of a store. I thought for a few days he might have broken his nose but he was a big boy about it all. Luckily he really didn't break his nose!
Time for first day of school pics! Well, they had told me the bus would be coming at 7:35 or so, so I thought we would go outside and snap a pic or two of Dallin before the bus came. I opened the door, only to see the bus had come WAY earlier than they had told us, so he ran to the bus without getting his first day of school picture. I was kind of mad, but snapped his "first day of school pic" running to the bus. haha
Hailee's first day of Kindergarten!!
They had the little Kindergartners line up to go into the school. Owen wanted to be right there with them. He had a hard time not being part of the group too.
The first day of school getting off the bus. I LOVE this picture of pure joy on Hailee's face after her first day of school!
We decided to snap some pictures when they got home since we had missed the "before school pics" for Dallin.
Hailee wanted Laila to match when they got ready for the day. Cute little yellows! She sure loves her baby sister!
More first day of school pics
Can't forget Owen!
