A Very Precious Moment

So I don't have any pictures of this, but I wanted to put it on here anyway because I use my blog as a kind of family journal, and this is a moment I don't want to forget. (I am also in the process of making my blog into a book- which is Very awesome)
We decided a week or so ago that Dallin was old enough he could start saying his personal prayers before bed time. I helped him once, and Kyle has been helping him since then. Ever since Hailee was born, Kyle has mostly been getting Dallin ready for bed because I have such a wonderful husband who is an amazing father and helps out a lot. Anyway, Kyle was gone playing basketball last night, so I was getting Dallin ready for bed and he told me he wanted to say his prayers. We knelt down by his bed, and Dallin turned to me, and I realized he was trying to help me say prayers. It was so precious! He was trying to be like his Dad. He whispered to me, "Heavenly Father.." and continued to talk about Momma, Dadda, Baby, and started naming his cars off one by one. In that moment it was hard to contain my emotions, it was so wonderful. I can't believe what a big boy he has become. I realized what a huge responsibility we have as parents to teach our children even when they are young. I know that Heavenly Father loves his little children so much and I am so grateful for Kyle who is such a wonderful father and teacher.

Kristin, you'll be so glad you recorded that moment. What a precious moment!!! It brought tears to my eyes, too. Being a mom is the best.
