I feel really far behind- mainly because I am! haha With working Summer School (in addition to BYUI), and moving and unpacking, I've really fallen behind on the blog. I'm still taking a bunch of pictures though! I decided what I'll do is today I will just make a post for June, and some time later in the week I will make a post for July. These pictures are not in chronological order, but they all were taken in June. This first set of pictures is from our "To Bone and Back" relay that we participated in. I did this two years ago, and Kyle did this last year (when I was 8 months pregnant) and we both were able to do it this year. It was a really neat experience. It was really tough, but we survived!
Kyle ran the second leg, which really is the hardest. Its uphill the entire 5 miles! He's a champ!I thought it was really cool that he was able to pass off to me in the relay. Look at this great action shot!
Running buds
We had a theme for our team, "Avengers 4 Autism". It was really neat. Cheryl from our group is a big advocate of Autism awareness (one of her sons has autism)
Kyle and I after we finished the race
Our team at the end- All worn out!
I really don't like running that much, and I'm definitely not a natural runner. Its really hard work for me even after a lot of practice. The hills were tough, but there are a lot of object lessons to take from the experience of running this relay. I will never forget the moment when I got close enough to see Kyle waiting for me to finish my leg at "my finish line" and just then "Wide Awake" from Katy Perry came on my IPod and the tune of it plus seeing Kyle at the finish just made me burst into tears. I thought this is kind of how it must be when you die and finish your life- you made it to the end, and your loved ones are waiting for you. It was really a neat moment. I was bawling, but I blamed it on my hip that was hurting, where most of the tears actually came from that spiritual "awakening". Very beautiful.
Another little adventure from June was when I had the opportunity to take the kids camping overnight. It was cool- some rich guy that lives not too far from us over by the river let Kathleen and Dustin stay on his property where he had made a cool little camping place. There was a little cabin, so Dallin and Hailee and I were able to stay in there overnight. It was really fun!
Kathleen and Dustin stayed in their camper.
Our cute little "cabin"
Getting ready for the night...
Here are some fun random pictures from our last few weeks in our little house. I feel a little sad- not that I miss the smaller house, but just sometimes its sad when you think this was our first house, where are first memories of having children and kids starting to grow up. I'm really excited for a new chapter to start in our new house though! I am feeling so overjoyed with all the extra space we have now! Yay!
I went into Dallin's room one night to check on him before I went to bed, and saw him like this. He had taken his pajama shirt off and stuffed his blanket into his pajama pants! Silly kid!
Another time when I went in to check on them, I saw Hailee sleeping like this.
Dallin's Birthday is July 25th. for the past 6 months- actually I should say YEAR, he's been telling me all the things he wants for his Birthday. I finally told him he needed to make a list of the things that he wanted so we could keep track of them. It was such a cute list!
Photo shoot with my little princess!
The kids with Grandpa! They sure love him!
Playing outside in the driveway
Cute little Owen. This little guy sure is growing fast! Although he just got his first tooth today, (August 11th) He's been my little gummy bear! He also doesn't really crawl very well yet either as of today (8/11) He army crawls, but doesn't really use his legs at all. He's a little lazy I think :) But we still love him to pieces!
A beautiful sunset I saw one evening on my way home! I Love Idaho!
So there you have June! Hopefully I'll stay motivated and get July up for you soon- we've been playing like crazy this Summer!
