Yay! Summer has arrived and so has the last day of school!
Hailee finished Kindergarten and Dallin finished 3rd Grade. I can't believe how much they have changed this year!
Cute Sisters (I tend to always take a picture of them in their matching little shirts :)We signed the boys up for baseball this Summer.
Here are their teams:
This was Owen's first year playing T-Ball. He was so funny his first games because he wanted a turn at getting the ball so bad. It wasn't funny for me at the time, but he was having temper tantrums if the balls weren't batted towards him. Finally after a few games, he started to understand how the game worked and didn't get so mad all the time.
Cute little guy
This is a funny picture I caught of his face while he was batting.
Dallin did pretty well this year!
Here he is making it across home plate.
Instead of paying for pictures, I took some of my own.
They look pretty good I think! Handsome kids!
Little Laila is just growing and growing! She is getting into more stuff, and walks around with her little attitude. She is so much fun!

Cute kids trying on their new sunglasses
Some of the grandkids having fun at Nana and Grandpa's house!Laila and Grandma Wright with their matching shirts. We realized they matched, so Grandma even put her hair in a tiny little pony tail on top just like Laila's :)
This was our first of many fun boating trips. Kathleen and Dustin have been so nice to take us boating in their new boat which is a lot easier to surf behind. Owen went on the tube for the first time and was pretty nervous but did really well. Too bad he ended up falling in when we were getting off the tube to get back in the boat. It took a while for him to want to go again.
Hailee playing Barbies
There's the matchy sisters again on the swings!
Daddy and Laila goofing off
Hailee is such an amazing artist!
I saved the best for last! We had the awesome opportunity to visit my brother in law, Bryan's family's place in Washington called Tekiu. I know we had just barely gone to Colorado in May, but I didn't want to miss this opportunity when we were invited. I had gone to Tekiu when I was a teenager and it was so amazing I wanted to share it with my family. I'm so glad that we went!
Here we are in Oregon!
I loved all the bridges we got to cross on our roadtrip up there.
Mt. Hood (I think?) in the distance
I had forgotten Multnomah Falls is right here off the highway. I'm glad we decided to stop real quick and take a look. So beautiful!
On our way to Washington, we decided to take a little detour and head to the Oregon coast. I had remembered visiting Seaside, Oregon when I was younger, and I wanted Kyle and the kids to be able to see it. I'm so glad we went out on a limb and just went for it. We grabbed a hotel off of a website, and luckily we got a great deal on a really nice room right on the beach with a balcony view! It was awesome!
The ocean!
Owen, not so much. He was pretty scared because the waves were big and loud. I told him to smile so I could take his picture, but this was the best he could do. Poor little guy!
Laila was like, "meh." She didn't really care. She sure is cute though!
Dallin exploring
Cute sisters
When we finally arrived at Tekiu I was amazed by the beautiful view!
We were immediately greeted by tiny crabs that everyone had been catching. These little guys were everywhere! They were cute, but you had to be careful when you were walking on the beach, because there were so many that you could step on and they would scatter like little spiders.
Dallin holding a little crab
Their bucket of crabs they had caught that day so far.
Starfish!
Moon snail. These things have cool big shells, but they are so nasty when you find a live one. They're like a big mucus-looking thing.
Sand Dollar. We loved to collect as many of these as we could
We took a walk through the rain forest right behind the house. It was so beautiful! I have never seen so much green!
Can you see tiny Dallin at the end of the road? The foliage was enormous!
Look how huge that mossy tree is!
HaileeWe took a little hike to what used to be the biggest tree in Washington (until it got hit by lightning several times)
Hailee got to make a little shell necklace from shells she collected on the beach.
Nana and Grandpa. It was fun that we got to celebrate Steve's birthday while we were there.
Dallin swimming in the ocean. Dallin is such a fish. We can never keep him out of the water. He loves swimming and he would spend most of his days out in the water. The nice thing was that it didn't get deep very fast and the water was calm.
All the kids had a great time playing in the water!
I love my family! :)Hailee and Daddy on the beach
What a beautiful view!
Sweet little Laila was such a trooper!
Hailee had such a good time with her cousin Sophia. They were so cute together!
They made up a little Hula dance to perform for us while we were sitting around the campfire.
When it was time to head home, we decided to ride the ferry to Seattle. It was a lot of fun!
What a great view!
Space Needle
What a wonderful trip with so many awesome experiences! I hope that someday we will have this opportunity again!
